He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Butler and Kathleen Butler (Joyner); his daughter Shawna Givens; and his siblings, Wilma Jean Hamlin, Betty Jo Green and Jerry Wayne Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Butler; his children, Shay Eaves of Wylie and Samuel Bryon Butler, Jr. of Marion Arkansas; and his siblings, Mary Lynn Redden (Danny) of McKenzie, Paula Harris of Southaven and Randy Butler (Wanda) of Huntingdon. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
