It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William Higdon of Yorkville, Tennessee, born in Gibson, Tennessee, who passed away on February 8, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucian Hollis Higdon and Annie Marie Bell Higdon; and his siblings, Mary Jean Ray and Hollis Higdon. He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Huffine Higdon of Yorkville, Tennessee; his sons, Kenneth Higdon of Yorkville, John W. "Bubba" Higdon, Jr. (Tammi) of Yorkville, Van Huffine Higdon (Penny) of Dyersburg and Lee Higdon (Louann) of Zebulon, Georgia; and his siblings, Jimmy Higdon (Mary Ann) of New Braunfels and Joy Capps of Raleigh. He is also survived by great-grand children and his fur friend.
