He is survived by: his brother Alan Sims (Cindy) of Newbern, Tennessee; his stepmother Doris Sims of Newbern, Tennessee; and his nieces, Samantha Parker (Zachary) of Newbern and Stephanie Sims of Newbern. He is also survived by three great-nieces and one great-nephew.
