It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Brenda Joyce Sims of Yorkville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvia Mathis Davis and Judson Thompson; her stepparents, Frankie Davis and Jettie Thompson; and her siblings, Betty Hicks and Johnny Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Stan Sims (Malinda) and Stephanie Rodgers; her grandchildren, Chris (Stephenie), Alex Sims, Seth, Nate and Weston Rodgers; her great grandchildren, Lucas, Everett Whitaker, Nora Jean Sims, Chasity, Heath, Lincoln and Harlee Sims; her siblings, Charles Davis, Joe Thompson (Debbie) and Pat Wilkinson (Rodney); and her sister-in-law Gwen Thompson.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Yorkville Bethel Baptist Church (12 Baseline Rd, Dyer, TN 38389). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Mason Hall Cemetery (4971 Tyson Store Road, Kenton, TN 38233).
