With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William R. Stokes Jr. of Woodlawn, Tennessee, born in Clarksville, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on March 8, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Stokes Sr. and Dollie Killebrew Stokes; and his wife Shirley Stokes. He is survived by: his daughters, Daniele Brown (Tom) and Angie Robertson (Chris); his sister Peggy Jensen (Andy); his grandchildren, Hunter Robertson, Gatlin Brown, Kaydin Brown, Westin Brown, Amelia Robertson and Emily Robertson; and his pet Jake.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home (1209 Madison St, Clarksville, TN 37040). A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at the Wilee's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery (3650 Cooper Creek Rd, Woodlawn, TN 37191).
