She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Arvid McCafferty and Lila McCafferty (McGauley); her former husband Kenneth Conaway; her husband Roy Whitfield; her sister Patricia Corson; her children, Kalin Conaway (Ursula), Michael Conaway (Lori), Randall Conaway (Duane), Ranie Conaway and Thomas Whitfield (Theresa); and her sister Marcia Dale (Keith). She was also cherished by 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchildren.
