He was predeceased by: his daughter Erin Jean Copeland; his parents, William Alexander and Helen Gibson Copeland; and his sister Judy Jones. He is survived by: his wife Gwenda Brown Copeland; his sons, Alan Dain Copeland of Fayetteville, William James Copeland of Woodbury and Jed Brandon Copeland of Rockvale; and his grandsons, Dain Carver Copeland, Silas Brandon Copeland and Ezekiel Aird Copeland.
