He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Merriman and Martha Mathis Merriman; and his sister Wavil Alford. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Thomas Merriman of Woodbury; his children, Christy Shultz of Woodbury and Devin Merriman (Molly) of Smithville; his grandchildren, Deonna Shultz, George Shultz, Colton Merriman, Reagan Merriman and Carter Merriman; and his siblings, Linda Foster (Donald) of McMinnville, Joe Don Merriman (Brenda) of Woodbury, Ann Prater of McMinnville and Jimmy Merriman (Kathryn) of McMinnville.
