He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond D. Merriman and Tommie Lee Duboise Merriman; his wife Leah Beth Merriman; his sister Brenda Joyce Toller; his brother-in-law Charles Toller; and his nephews, Matthew and Michael Toller.
He is survived by: his sisters, Jacqueline Blessent and Shirley Lewis (Larry); his close friend Micheal Puckett; his son Marc Thomas Merriman (Michelle); his grandsons, Mason and Maguire Merriman; his nephews, Jeffrey Toller, Lawrence Lewis and Jacob Lewis; and his niece Emily Kress. He is also survived by great nephews & nieces; and numerous cousins.
