He was predeceased by: his wife Macie Bogle Walkup; his son Richard Dale Bogle; his grandparents, Joe T., Molly Lowe Walkup, Gilbert Newton and Novera Earl Messick; and his great grandchild Christian "CJ" Cook.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Ray Walkup, Sr. (Kathy) of Readyville and Rita Cook of Woodbury; his grandchildren, Johnny Ray Walkup, Jr. of Readyville, Shelby Lynn Young (Timothy) of Readyville and Candi Renee Cook of Readyville; and his great grandchildren, Victor Cook, Andrew Cook, Tucker Means, Dixie Young and Breanna Walkup.
