It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Magaline Davenport (Woodbury, Tennessee), who passed away on August 30, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Rufus Ed; her stepmother Liz Murphy; her mother Martha Mai Warren Murphy; her husband Vess Davenport; her son David Davenport; and her siblings, Ines Davenport, Clifton "Tip" Murphy, Fannie Ruth Fletcher, Allie Allen, George Murphy, Roy Murphy, Joe Murphy, Lela Finley, Howard Murphy, Ray Murphy, Sally Jane Murphy, JT McCord, Margie Burks, Jo Bryan and John McCord.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Dodd (David) of Woodbury, Darlene Davenport Gilliam of Woodbury, Pam Gaither (David) of Woodbury and Regina Mayo (Stephen) of Bradyville; her grandchildren, John Dodd (Britany), Bridgette Dodd, Derrick Cooper (Beth), Leslie Stephens (Tyson), Dale Mayo, Lindsey Davenport (Eric Vickers), Jacob Duggin (Brittany), Dustin Mayo, Austin Duggin Samantha Gaither (Madison Blanton) and Madison Poss (Lane); and her siblings, Betty Green (Dooley) of Morrison, Arlene Sanders (Larry) of Woodbury and Clyde McCord (Betty) of Woodbury. She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Jan Davenport. 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
