He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Knox (Jack) and Edith Towler Knox (Speedy); his siblings, Jack and Phoebe Binkley; his siblings-in-law, Ella Prince Knox and Bob Binkley; and his in-laws, Nolan (Dude) and Annie Northcutt.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Northcutt Knox; his brother Joe Knox (Jane); his children, Mike Knox (Karene), Wendy Knox, Amy Knox Green and Jacqueline Rhodes (Jamie); his grandchildren, Drew Morton (Erika), Austi Knox, Ayla Chapman (Matthew), Katie Knox, Britt Knox-Harrelson and Amber Goforth; his great grandchildren, Tre, Ellie Morton, Hazel and Alora Chapman; and his siblings-in-law, Anne Knox, Ann Northcutt McBride, Richard Northcutt and Kyle Williams. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a cadre of good friends.
Memorials are requested for the food backpack program at First United Methodist Church of Woodbury.
