She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Hice and Leehela Hice; and her siblings, Otis "Doc" Hice, Jewel Edward Hice, Virgie M. Hice, Elsie H. Hice, Ola Thomas Hice, Lloyd Junior Hice, Gilbert Hice, Nannie Lee Hice Fulmer, Mildred Hice Williams, Dorothy Hice, Kenneth Hice, Lovine Hice Holland and Shelby Jean Hice.
She is survived by: her husband James Edd Syler; her children, Kent Syler (Lynell) of Murfreesboro and Lisa Hatchett (Nelson) of Winchester; her grandchildren, Kyle Hatchett (Diana), Liala Syler, Melissa Hatchett and Emily Syler; and her great grandchild Elsie Ruth Hatchett.
