It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lula Carolyn Charest (Winchester, Tennessee), born in Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on December 21, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Rogers and Charlie Rogers; her husband Joseph Charest; her son Ron Walls; her grandson Ryan Walls; and her siblings, Jim Rogers, Bob Rogers, Maxine Dawkins, Imogene Oliver, Bessie June Certain and Audrey Medford.
She is survived by: her children, Renee Gunn (Kenneth) of Lynchburg, Jerry Walls (Faye) of Estill Springs and Don Walls (Tina) of Winchester; her sister Linda Scott (Darrell) of Manchester; and her grandchildren, Shanna Gunn-Niemiller, Jarod Walls and Christopher Walls. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
