With solemn reverence, we commemorate John Barry Stewart of Winchester, Tennessee, whose life came to an end on November 14, 2024 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gregory Stewart and Arah Roxie Stewart (Moorehead); and his sisters, Pauline Broughton (Otis) and Peggy Earle (Hoyte). He is survived by: his wife Geneva Dale Stewart (Arledge); his sons, Michael Stewart (Sharon) of Roanoke, VA, Richard Stewart (Anna) of Murfreesboro, TN and David Stewart of Sacramento, CA.; his brother George Stewart (Margaret) of Winchester; his sister-in-law Ann Powell of Winchester, TN.; and his grandchildren, Chelsea Friske (Kevin), Christopher Stewart (Danielle), Victoria Stewart (John Edwards), Nicholas Stewart (Caitlin), Savanna Stewart, Weldon Stewart, Sarah Stewart, William Friske, Archer Stewart and Oliver Stewart. He is also survived by his family and precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home (300 1st Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in memory of Barry be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (http://www.stjude.org) and/or the Owens Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church building fund. (P.O. Box 352, Winchester TN 37398).
