He is survived by: his wife Teresa Boyd; his children, Hughston Dale (Laura), Jason Robert (Kisty), Meridee Lanay Pelham (Andy), Megan Lauren Schneider and Cayla Anne Schneider; and his grandchildren, Cayce LeighAnn Anderson (Jack), Kamryn Alesa Venable, Aubree Pelham, Miranda Pelham, Isaac Colson and Ivan Colson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN in lieu of flowers.
