She is survived by: her daughter Shannon Burks; her son-in-law LoAnza Burks; her granddaughter Kendra Burks (Lochelle); her great grandchild Kyson Jai Irwin; her siblings, Elizabeth (Sparkie), Jody Simmons of Winchester, Alma Fuqua of Winchester, Willie Fuqua of Winchester, Pete Fuqua (Natalie) of Winchester and Mike Fuqua (Estella) of Winchester; her sisters-in-law, Linda Fuqua of Winchester and Wilma Fuqua of Winchester; her uncle James Simmons (Dora); her nephew Jerry Simmons; and her close friends, Elizabeth Coutta, Sherry, Olivia Plante, Toni Hill-McCrary, Roxann Green and Vicki Hall. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home (300 1st Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
