With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles David King of Winchester, Tennessee, born in Gibson, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2024 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Songer and Violet Mae King (James); and his siblings, Aubrey, George, Phyllis, Mary and Jeanie.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Kerstin Beavers (Ben) of Sewanee, Kris Glendening (Lee) of Bellingham and Mark King (Flor) of Collierville, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Sarah Beavers, John Beavers of Sewanee, Graham Glendening, Charles King and Luciana King of Collierville, Tennessee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
