He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Bib" Staten and Henrietta Staten; and his brother William "Andy" Staten. He is survived by: his daughter Tomeka Allgood; his grandchildren, Tierra Allgood and Jadyn Allgood; his siblings, Jennye Hill, Jeanelle Staten, Henry "Squeaky" Staten (Annette) and Reggie Staten (Lisa); his aunts, Charoline, Ela (John), Mary Ann, Lena and Yvonne; and his uncle Edd (Valerie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
