He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos T. Garrett and Annie Stinson Carey; and his brothers, Sam Garrett and Bob Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo; his son Jody Garrett; his daughter-in-law Cathy; his daughter Nancy Carolyn; his son-in-law Mark Long; his daughter Emily; his son-in-law Greg York; and his grandchildren, Katie Little (Cale), Becky Jaszczak (Jacob), Daniel Long, Danny Garrett (Hannah), Garrett York (McCauley), Luke Long (Ashley), Shelby York, Courtney Long and Joseph York. He is also survived by the cousins would gather at Nana.
