He is survived by: his wife Joanne Watkins; his children, Paula Van Buren (William), Dotri Shaw, Zina Carothers, Rhonda Simmons (Glynn), Tim Watkins and Toby Hammond; his stepdaughters, Wendy Roberson, Mindy Miller (Ray), Penny Casebeer and Peggy McKinney (Rory); and his brother Mark Peterson. He is also survived by many grandchildren, as well as many great grandchildren.
