He is survived by: his wife Almetta Ramsey Perkins; his children, Jimmy Perkins, Linda Shrum, Tina Cantrell and Dennis Post; and his siblings, Patsy Tate (David), Bobby Perkins, Jennifer Nunley and Jeff Jones. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
