She was predeceased by: her former husband James Atterton; her parents, Clarence Long and Pearlie Long; her siblings, Lillie Irene, Carl Edward Long and Norman Long; and also Margie Ruth Basham.
She is survived by: her husband Loyd Slatton; her children, James Atterton (Fran) of Whitwell, Clarence Louis Atterton (Lynn) of Whitwell and Linda Atterton Caldwell of Whitwell; her stepchildren, LaJuana Layne of Jasper, Lisa Nance of Whitwell and Hope Smith of Sequatchie; her siblings, Willie Rollins of Mesquite, TX and Houston Long of Whitwell; her grandchildren, Mikeal Atterton, Misty Atterton, Joseph Atterton, Lucretia Atterton, Shani Atterton, Shyanne Caldwell and Tiffany Atterton; and her great grandchildren, Alexxa, Dakota, Caleb and Destiny.
