He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Thompson and Elvie Billingsley Thompson; and his siblings, Mary Ruth Layne and Wayne Jackson Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Willis Thompson; his children, Trudie, John Patterson and Chady Thompson; his granddaughter Meghan Oakley (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Vivian and Thompson Oakley; his great-nephew Wyatt Skiles; and his sister Dorathy Jean Layne (JC). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
