With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Scott Hampton of Whitwell, Tennessee, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on January 24, 2022 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Scott Hampton, Sr. and Ophina Rose Lawson Hampton; his sister-in-law Janet Hampton; and his son-in-law Billy Roman Carver. He is survived by: his wife Sonya Pickett Hampton; his children, Anukul Nung Hampton (Marian), Jin Hampton and Kristie Hampton Carver (late Billy Carver); his brothers, George Hampton (late Janet Hampton) and Tom Hampton (Cindy); his stepdaughter Angie Webb (Chris); his uncle Johnny Campbell; his grandchildren, Gabrielle Hampton, Asia Knappen (Jesse), Christian Carver, William Carver, Kyle Higa and Emalea Carver; his stepgrandchildren, Tanner Pickett (Jessica), Amber Webb (Gavin) and Taylor Trippe; his great grandchildren, Kayson Kilgore, Bryson Jones and Hudson Pickett; his nieces and nephews, Jenny Frame, Leigh Lawrence (Marc), Chris Hampton (Melisa) and Tyler Hampton (Becca); and his great-nephews, Walker, Thomas and Brooks. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
