We are sad to announce that on December 1, 2024, at the age of 71, Samuel Lee Pickett Sr. of Whitwell, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. B. and Mae Alma Harris Pickett; and his brother James Issac Sutton (George W. Pickett). He is survived by: his girlfriend Ramona Pickett; his children, Michelle Pickett of Chattanooga, Sam Pickett, Jr. (Alyssa) of Bridgeport, AL, Ashley Pickett of Jasper and Kane Hale of Jasper; his sisters, Emma Gott of Chattanooga and Anna Roberts of Chattanooga; his cousin William Oscar Pickett of Jasper; his grandchildren, Sam Pickett, III, Samantha Pickett, Justin Johnson, Ariah Richards, Samaya Pickett, Samara Pickett and Hayden Ward; and his close friends, Sonny Pickett, Jack Green, Keith Steele and James Rankin.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. (795 Morrison Springs Rd, Whitwell, TN 37397). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
