She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward and Lela Carpenter, Sr.; and her brother James Edward Carpenter, Jr. (Stokes). She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Stokes; her children, Rickey Stokes (Denise) of Jasper, Tamara Worley (Randall) of Whitwell and Jacqueline Thompson (Wes) of Jasper; her sister Jodi Harrison (Hut) of Merritt Island, Florida; her grandchildren, Jarrod, Zane (Ashley), Tarrah (Jason), Brooke, Ryan (Michelle) and Trey (Taylor); and her great grandchildren, Cole Jarran (Hannah), Jentree, Heidi, Griffin, Draven and Sophie.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. (795 Morrison Springs Rd, Whitwell, TN 37397). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
