With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mitsi Jean Smith (Whitwell, Tennessee), who passed away on October 2, 2023 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Melvin Smith and Shelba Johnson Smith; her grandparents, Howard, Emma K. Smith, Lee Johnson and Lois Medley Johnson; her son Nicholas Smith; her daughter-in-law Amy Grace Stokes; her pets, Mumford and Penny; her sister Lora McBride; her brother-in-law Craig; her caregiver Paul Scott; and her aunts and uncles, Leroy Smith (Nancy), Howard Smith Jr., Margarette Ladd (Charles), Paulette Russell, Notie Cunningham, Caroletta Ray (Marvin), Beulah Hudson (Bobby), Brenda Smith, Barbara Smith, Nancy Smith and Jewell Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to the ALS Association.
