It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Joyce Green of Whitwell, Tennessee, who passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Carlos Green; her parents, Willie "Bill" Walden and Estell A. Walden; her sons, Buddy Green and Donnie Green; her granddaughter Angie McGowan; her close friend Albert Atterton; and her siblings, Betty Terry, Joe Walden, Freddy Duke, Ralph Walden and Cecil Ray Walden.
She is survived by: her siblings, Billy Walden (Glenda) and Nancy "Cookie" Case (Charles); her grandchildren, Allen Green (Missi), Holly Taylor (Chris) and Ashley Pellam (Jonathan); her great grandchildren, Haley Barnes (Blake), Amber Adams (Corey), Courtney Green, Brian Green, Ethan Taylor (Joeleigh), Christa Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Chloe Barker, Skylar Barker, Carley Pellam and River Pellam; and her great great grandchildren, Kinslee Adams and Peyton Barnes.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. (795 Morrison Springs Rd, Whitwell, TN 37397). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
