With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildie Louise Bryant (Whitwell, Tennessee), who passed away on March 1, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Shadrick and Ola Shadrick (Shrum); her brothers, Layden Shadrick, Wendell Shadrick, Johnny Shadrick and Jimmy Shadrick; her husband George Melvin Bryant; her daughter Brenda Johnson; and her grandson Barry Roberts.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Bryant (Darlene) of Ootlewah, TN and Dwight Bryant (Judy) of Whitwell, TN; her grandchildren, Marty Bryant (Darcie), Jamey Bryant (Yvonne), Kristy Long (David) and Melanie Long (Jim); her great grandchildren, Matthew Bryant, Darina Bryant, Delanie Bryant, Brandon Bryant, Riley Sartin, Bryant Long and Carley Summerford; her sister Jewell Thomas (Jody); her nieces and nephews, Rhonda Thomas Melton, Ted Thomas, Chris Thomas, Sandy Thomas Summers and Les Thomas; and her close friends, Rose Johnson and Sherry Ramsey.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. (795 Morrison Springs Rd, Whitwell, TN 37397). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
