He is survived by: his wife Susan Ballew Henderson; his children, James William Simmons, Chrystal Simmons (Chris Harden), Miranda Goff and Amanda Simmons; his siblings, Joseph Henderson, Keith Henderson (Cindy) and Lucy Henderson; and his cousin Robert Williams. He is also survived by six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
