With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathryn Woodward Akin of Whitwell, Tennessee, who passed away on July 29, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Charlie Woodward and Tennella Thurston Woodward; and her siblings, Ted, Tom of David, RW, Charlene, Mary and Ruth.

She is survived by: her sons, William Larry Akin (Tammie) and Joseph Reeves Akin, Jr. (Sharon); and her grandchildren, Billy Akin, Wendy Morris, JoElen Mills, Kathy Huddleston, Amanda Akin, Josh Akin, Carly Akin and Tyler Akin. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, and many other cherished friends.
