He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred Lankford Lawson. He is survived by: his father Charles A. Sr. Lawson; his siblings, Lewis Harlin, Charles Alfred Lawson Jr., Nina Ruth Lawson, Esther Lucille Phipps and Janice Nunley; his wife Juanita Cain Lawson; his children, Ricky, Patrick Lawson (Tina) and Melissa Lynn McCrary; his stepdaughter Lisa Gholston (William); and his siblings, Herbert (LaVenia), Thomas Lawson (Wanda), Ophelia Parson (late Claude), Evelyn Meeks (late James), Elaine Irvin (late David), Christine Stockwell (late Lonnie), Faye Grimes (Harley), Angeline Stockwell (Jerry) and Alfreda Whited Byford (Donald). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Layne Funeral Home, Inc. (32871 TN-108, Gruetli-Laager, TN 37365). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
