He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Helenthal and Ruth Helenthal; and his brother Ralph "Butch" Helenthal. He is survived by: his wife Donna Rogers Helenthal; his children, Brenda Bailey (Howie) of Niantic and John Eric Helenthal (Becky) of Monticello, Illinois; his grandchildren, Christopher, Blake, Josh, Megan, Taylor and Caleb; and his great grandchildren, Brielle and Cameron.
