He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Hackney and June Frye Hackney; and his brothers, Jim Hackney and Terry Hackney. He is survived by: his wife Janice Cookston Hackney; his children, Natasha Rheal (Keith) of Dunlap, Tenisha Hackney of Whitwell, Brandy Holtcamp (Coby) of Ringgold, GA and Heather Strange of Ft. Oglethorpe; his siblings, Kathy Graham (Tony), Loretta Melton, Paul Hackney (Linda), Susan Lowe (Steve) and Kevin Hackney; and his grandchildren, Dylan Layne, Madison Rheal, Brooklyn Rheal, Ellyonna Hackney, Braxton Holtcamp, Cason Holtcamp, Hayden Strange and Leala Strange. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
