He was predeceased by: his father Jess Kilgore; his grandmother E. Kilgore; and his siblings, Naomi Nunley, James Kilgore, Imogene Layne Baker, Frank Kilgore, Ray Kilgore, Ronnie Kilgore and Leonard Kilgore.
He is survived by: his children, Inda Kilgore (Jim Scissom) of Whitwell and Frank Kilgore (John Pogue) of Chattanooga; his siblings, Judy Rankin and Kenneth Kilgore; his grandchildren, Dakota A. Higgins and Jerrica C. Higgins; and his close friend Louise Hudson.
