He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Kindred and Martha Young Kindred; his former wife Patricia Kindred; his daughters-in-law, Teresa Ramsey and Susie Ramsey; and his siblings, William "Dub" Kindred, Joseph "Jay" Kindred, Ralph Kindred, Ruby Jackson, Lela Parker and Earline Kindred Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Slatton Kindred; his children, John David Kindred (Dana), James Brian Kindred (Jean), David Bice (Terry), Jimmy Bice (Cheryl), Wendell Ramsey, Anthony Ray Ramsey (Pam), Darrell Ramsey (Kim), Timothy Ramsey and Melissa Sutton (Karl); and his brothers, Rayford Kindred (Judy) and Donnie Kindred. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
