He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar James and Myrtle Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Jan Boyd Thomas of Whitwell; his stepson Jackie Deaton of Ringgold; his sister-in-law Joyce Thomas of Hermitage; his mother-in-law Martha S. Boyd of Kimball; and his nephew Steven Thomas.
