He was predeceased by: his son Barry Stamey; his parents, Lindsey Stamey and Stella Stamey; and his siblings, Joyce Hudson, Bud Stamey, Leroy Stamey, Eugene Stamey and Claude Stamey.
He is survived by: his wife Johnnie Ruth Stamey; and his children, Sheilah Lawson (Greg) of Suck Creek, Glen Edward Stamey of Suck Creek and Danny Stamey of Hixson.
