He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Ballard and Clara Schwettmann; his grandparents, George "Mark" and Monte Lou Ballard; and his sister Doris Bowers.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Faye Ballard; his children, Neita Christian (Rick) of Whitwell and Watson Ballard of Whitwell; his brother David Schwettmann of Fl; his grandchildren, Tyrick Christian (Veronica Seaman), Autumn Maitland (Dalen), Sarah Ballard and Katelyn Ballard; and his great grandchild Benjamin Maitland.
