He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward and Tula Mae Powell; his siblings, Anthony Lavonne Powell and Marilyn Faye Kilgore; and his granddaughter Nicole Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Griffiis Powell; his children, Jerone Powell, Norman Powell, Rebekah Jones, Christina Rankin and Crystal Helt; his brother Ken Tuders; and his adoptive children, Billie Jo Moneyy and Kenny Powell. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
