He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence McGowan and Sarah Mae McGowan; his brothers, Bobby Dean McGowan, Jerry McGowan (Mary), Thomas McGowan and Clarence Anthony McGowan; his niece Diana Gayle McGowan; and his sister-in-law Amanda Meeks.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Lindsay McGowan (Josh Weeks) of Jasper, Jamison Ross McGowan of Whitwell and Ryan McGowan (Kamryn) of Whitwell; his siblings, Clarence Junior McGowan (Kathy), Rick McGowan (Carlene), Wayne McGowan (Imogene), Allen "PeeWee" Meeks, Sarah Annette White (Marvin) and Shelia Marrero (Chad Massengale); his sisters-in-law, Janice McGowan and Anna McGowan; his grandchildren, Zane McGowan, Mason Shrum, Brooklyn Burchard and Blaire McGowan; and his nephew Allen White.
