He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Amber Loraye; his parents, Luther Slatton and Mae Ellen Slatton; and his siblings, James, Joyce, Josephine, Johnny, Clara, Mae Ruth, Hazel and Tootsie.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Gail Slatton; his sons, Donnie Slatton (Megan), Evan Slatton (Nicki) and Josh Slatton (Heather); his brother Bill Ed Slatton of Whitwell; his grandchildren, Zach (Cori), Trieana, Emily, Cameron, Tanner, Maelynn, Shawn (Rasberry), James (Vi) and Bella (Xander); his great grandchildren, Casen, Zoey, King, Levi, Stetson, Lee and Jackson; and his pet Jumper.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. (795 Morrison Springs Rd, Whitwell, TN 37397). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
