It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Lorene Gholston of Whitwell, Tennessee, who passed away on February 12, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Gholston; her son Terry Gholston; her parents, Willie Ramsey and Minnie Ramsey; and her siblings, Myrtle Ramsey, Mary Etta Kilgore, Birt Presnell, Homer, Leonard, Walter, Hubert, Herbert, Roy and Troy Ramsey.
She is survived by: her daughter Tammy; her son-in-law Jimmy Dempsey; her grandsons, Benjamin Dempsey and Johnathan Gholston; her daughter-in-law Joyce Gholston; her sister Rachel Kilgore; her niece Almetta Perkins; and her great-nephew Jimmy Perkins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
