He was predeceased by: his father Arnold Houston Morrison; and his stepson Marty Joe Ramsey. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jean Cagle Morrison; his children, Christopher Ashton Ramsey, Carissa Aaliyah Ramsey and Ashley Michelle Conner; his stepchildren, Bobby Joe Ramsey, Tina Jean Phillips and Christopher Ramsey; his mother Betty Ruth Sanders; and his siblings, Nancy Floyd and Ernest Morrison. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
