We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2025, at the age of 89, Alvis Pete Ferguson of Whitwell, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Freguson; his sons, Allen Boston and Robby Ferguson; his parents, Ival Ferguson and Ellis Lee Ferguson; his siblings, Willie Ferguson, Vera Lee Ferguson, Elijah Duane Ferguson and Pete; and his children, Gerrie Ferguson of Missouri, James Boston of Missouri, Daniel Boston of Texas and Billy Boston (DeAnna) of Whitwell.
He is survived by: his daughter Glenda (Rudy); his siblings, Loyce Gibson, Horace Ferguson and Kathie Raines; his grandchildren, Jeff Rasca, Jennifer Latu, Amber Copeland, Tiffany Decker, Amanda Johnson, Raquel Cooley, Garrett Boston, Brittany Boston, Katie Abbott, Billy Boston, Natasha Boston, Travis Ferguson, Bruce Boston, Benjamin Ferguson and Christopher Ferguson; and his great grandchildren, T. J. Latu, Leo Latu, Nia Rasca, Keira Rasca, Madison Greiner, Abel Copeland, Landry Decker, Macklin Decker, Ethan Boston, Hayden Johnson, Lilly Johnson, Maverick Cooley and Nora Cooley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. (795 Morrison Springs Rd, Whitwell, TN 37397). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Whitwell Memorial Cemetery (9800 Valley View Hwy, Whitwell, TN 37397).
