He is survived by: his close friend Renee Murray; his sons, Jonathon Leonard (Rachel) and James Leonard (Krista); his grandson Rylan Leonard; his siblings, Ellis Hicks, Cheryl Dyer (David) and Monica Asberry; his nieces, Tara Asberry and Jessica Dyer; and his great-nephews, Caden, Gavin and Devin.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made toward the funeral expense.
