He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Lacurgus "Daddy Dude" Lewis and Mary Louise Whorton "Mama Ease" Lewis; and his brother Paul Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Stuart Lewis; his children, Gerald Lewis (Valerie), Timmy Lewis (Lisa), Robbie Lewis, Jackie Lewis and Jeannie McBride; and his sister Hope Cannon. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
