He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Alvard Johnson Sr. and Lora Mae Vaughn Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Avice R. Johnson of Whiteville; his children, David R. Johnson, Jr. (Kerry) of Madisonville, KY and Amy Johnson of Whiteville; and his sister Linda Glover (Ray) of Somerville. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
