He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn Stroud; his son Ricky Stroud; his parents, Richard Stroud and Elizabeth Stroud; his sister-in-law Julie Jones; his great-nephew Kaden Gunter; and his parents-in-law, Myra Murdock and Freddy Murdock.

He is survived by: his daughter Kellie Cobb (Jason); his grandchildren, Cael, Ricky and Emmalynn Cobb of Morristown; his siblings, Susie Stroud of Morristown, Tim Stroud (Kim) of Russellville and Charlie Stroud (Sandy) of Mohawk; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Murdock (Donna) and James Jones of Whitesburg.
